Sulphur Crested Cockatoos are a intelligent, inquisitive parrot native to mainly Australia, but also found in New Guinea, Indonesia and the Solomon Islands. Their talkative, bubbly personality has made them a popular pet around the world, although they are known to be neurotic and needy. They grow to around the 50cm (19.5″) mark and live to around 40 years in the wild, but can live to over 60 in captivity.
This one was an invention based on real similar locations in the mountainous regions of central Queensland. The tree our characters are perched on is an Australian Blue Gum.
